About the player
In 2023, playing for América Mineiro, the Uruguayan forward finished the competition as its top scorer with nine goals, earned a place in the Team of the Tournament, and became the club's all-time leading scorer in the competition. The following January, on the domestic stage, he produced one of the most extraordinary individual displays of his career, scoring five goals in 68 minutes against Pouso Alegre in the Campeonato Mineiro.
Mastriani started out at Cerro in his native Uruguay before a move to Parma took him to Italy, where he also picked up Italian nationality.
He won the Campeonato Paranaense with the club that year. At youth level, Mastriani won five caps and scored three goals for Uruguay's under-20 side.
