About the player
Haji Issa Mustafa came through Gazelle FA in Cameroon before leaving the continent for Armenia, where FC Ararat Yerevan signed him in February 2023. He grew into one of the club's most productive players there, scoring four goals in around 43 appearances during the 2023–24 Armenian Premier League season while wearing the number 24 shirt — a return that put him among the club's top scorers for the year.
That form took him to Belgium in August 2024, when Waasland-Beveren took him on loan from Ararat for the 2024–25 season. He made 22 appearances in the Belgian league, adding another goal to his tally, before the loan ended in June 2025.
His move to HNK Gorica followed in March 2026, on a permanent free transfer after his spell with Ararat came to a close. He now plays in the Croatian league wearing number 21, a change from the number 24 he had carried through his time in Armenia and Belgium.
Mustafa has represented Cameroon at Under-23 level, though a senior cap has not yet come his way.
