Jack Harrison

Jack Harrison He came through high school soccer in the United States, where he was named Gatorade National Player of the Year, then spent a season at Wake Forest University, picking up NCAA Freshman of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honours. That form carried him into the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, where Chicago Fire picked him first overall before immediately trading him to New York City FC.

At NYCFC he was named Etihad Airways Player of the Month and finished runner-up for MLS Rookie of the Year. He never made a senior appearance for City, instead going out on loan to Middlesbrough and then, for three consecutive seasons, to Leeds United. He was part of the side that won the Championship in 2019–20 and returned the club to the Premier League. Leeds made the move permanent in 2021.

Harrison later joined Everton on a season-long loan, an arrangement extended for a further year. Off the pitch, his path has crossed international borders too — eligible for both England and the United States, he was capped twice for England's under-21s in 2017 but has not featured for a senior national team.
