About the player
Few defenders in the Categoría Primera A stand out physically the way Jhonier Alomía does. At 205 centimetres, he is among the tallest players in Colombian football.
Born in Santander de Quilichao, Alomía began his professional career at Bogotá FC in the Categoría Primera B. He joined Atlético FC, also in the second division, where he wore the number 3 shirt and remained for several years.
In July 2026, Alomía signed for Boyacá Chicó FC, moving into the Categoría Primera A as a free agent. At his new club he has switched to the number 5 shirt.
He has not been called up to Colombia's senior national team.
