About the player
Kiki van Zanten could have kept playing for the United States, the country that gave her youth caps at U15 and U17 level and a Girls' U-15 CONCACAF title. Instead, with a Jamaican mother and a Dutch father giving her the choice, she opted for Jamaica, making her senior debut in February 2022. The decision paid off quickly: she scored the winning goal in the third-place match of the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship against Costa Rica, and the following year she started at the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Before any of that, van Zanten built her game at Notre Dame, where four seasons produced 95 appearances and 27 goals, along with First Team All-ACC recognition in her final year. Houston Dash took her 21st overall in the second round of the 2024 NWSL Draft.
She returned in 2025 to make 17 appearances and score twice, then re-signed with Houston through the 2026 season. For Jamaica, she has now made 17 appearances and scored three goals at senior level.
