About the player
On 16 October 2022, in the 100th minute of an NWSL Playoff match against Houston Dash, she scored the winner — the latest goal ever recorded in NWSL postseason history. It came during her spell with Kansas City Current, the club she joined for its inaugural 2021 season after Utah Royals' original franchise relocated and re-signed with in December 2022. Kansas City went on to reach the 2022 NWSL Championship final that year, though they lost 2-0 to Portland Thorns.
Del Fava's route into professional football ran through Illinois State University, where she was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2019 and made the All-MVC First Team three times. Utah Royals picked her in the second round, 12th overall, of the 2020 NWSL College Draft, and she made six appearances for the club before its relocation sent her to Kansas City.
In December 2023, Del Fava was traded back to Utah Royals and signed a contract extension through 2026, with a team option for 2027. She won the NWSL "Iron Woman" award for playing every minute of both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. In 2024 she overtook Gunnhildur Jónsdóttir to become the club's all-time appearance leader, reaching 49 games with consecutive starts, and was named Utah Royals' Defensive Player of the Year. She was nominated for the NWSL Lauren Holiday Impact Award in 2025.
