Lucas Gastón Robertone

Lucas Robertone learned his trade in the Vélez Sarsfield academy, which he joined in 2011, and made his senior debut for the club in the Copa Argentina in August 2016. He went on to play 63 league matches for Vélez, scoring 11 goals, before Almería paid €3.4 million for half of his federative rights in October 2020, with an obligation to buy a further 30 per cent depending on variables.

At Almería he grew into one of the dressing room's senior figures, eventually wearing the captain's armband and becoming the club's third-most capped foreign player, behind only Santiago Acasiete and Kalu Uche. He passed 150 official appearances for the Andalusian side in November 2023. His time there peaked in the 2021–22 season, when Almería won the Segunda División title and returned to La Liga, where Robertone went on to make 70 appearances.

In January 2026 Vélez took him back on an 18-month loan with a mandatory purchase option, a deal reportedly worth around €2.5 million with further payments tied to appearances.

Internationally, Robertone has represented Argentina at Under-23 level, earning three caps and scoring one goal in 2019, without yet being called into the senior side.
