Rodrigo Aliendro

Rodrigo Aliendro's clearest moment came in the 92nd minute of the 2023 Supercopa Argentina final, when he scored the winning goal for River Plate against Estudiantes, and it capped a year in which he also won the Primera División title and the Trofeo de Campeones in River's colours.

Aliendro's path there was gradual rather than sudden. He came through the youth ranks at Argentinos Juniors before moving to Chacarita Juniors, where he made his senior debut in March 2012. A loan to Atlético Tucumán in 2016 turned into his breakthrough: he made his top-flight debut there that February, and the club made the move permanent the following year. At Colón, his next stop, he became a key part of the side that won the Copa de la Liga Profesional in 2021, the club's first official top-flight title, before River signed him on a free transfer in June 2022.

He went on to make 100 official appearances for River before leaving the club in July 2025, rescinding his contract to join Vélez Sarsfield on a free transfer. He arrived in time to be part of the Vélez squad that won the 2024 Supercopa Argentina, with the final played in September 2025. Aliendro has not been capped by the Argentina senior national team, though he has taken part in informal matches alongside players from the squad.
