Marcos Mejía

Marcos Mejía has worn the shirt of more clubs than most strikers manage in twice the time. His route to the top flight ran through Liga de Loja, where he made his professional debut in March 2015, and then Liga de Portoviejo and Colón F.C.

Galácticos F.C., Chacaritas F.C., two spells at Técnico Universitario either side of a stint at América de Ambato, and a return to Técnico Universitario in 2021 saw him score six goals in 26 appearances. That form led S.D.

Aucas loaned him out twice more, to Mushuc Runa in 2023 and Delfín S.C. in 2024, before he left as a free agent for Orense S.C. in January 2025. A year later he was back at Delfín, again on a free transfer, and by March 2026 he had moved on once more, joining Barcelona SC without a fee changing hands.

Mejía was reportedly on national team coach Pablo Marini's radar for the 2022 'Rey de Copas' tournament, though he never took the field for Ecuador at that or any other level.
