About the player
Patric Åslund's move to Djurgårdens IF in March 2024 came with a transfer fee in the region of ten million kronor and a contract running to the end of 2028. He came through the youth ranks at Västerås IK before joining Västerås SK, where he stayed on the books between 2018 and 2024.
Two loan spells shaped his development away from Västerås. At Motala AIF in 2022, he scored ten goals in thirty appearances. A year earlier, he had spent a loan spell at IFK Eskilstuna.
