Salvador Reyes

Reyes made his name at Club América with two moments that stand apart from the ordinary run of his career. Against Pachuca in April 2021 he scored from roughly 80 metres, a goal cited as the longest by a field player in Mexican football. Then, on 7 January 2022, he opened the scoring against Puebla after just nine seconds, matching Ricardo Chávez Medrano's record for the fastest goal in Liga MX history.

Reyes came through at Monarcas Morelia before a loan spell at Cimarrones de Sonora, where he scored three goals in 19 appearances during the Clausura 2019. A move to Puebla FC followed, and by the time he left the club he had made around 45 appearances and scored three goals. His transfer to Club América in mid-2021 turned him into a regular starter, and he was named to the Liga MX Best XI for the Guardianes 2021 tournament. With América he won the Clausura title in the 2023–24 season and played in the CONCACAF Champions League.

In January 2024, with a loan move to Necaxa reportedly close, coach André Jardine intervened and persuaded Reyes to stay at América instead. He left the club that July for León FC. Reyes has since appeared on the pre-list for Mexico's squad for the 2025 Gold Cup, though he has not been capped at senior level.

A left-footed player standing 172 cm, Reyes shares his surname with Salvador Reyes Monteón, who won 17 caps for Mexico across three World Cups between 1956 and 1966 — a different player, born decades earlier.
