Sara Vodelko

Sara Wojdelko's college career ended with a remarkable senior season in 2025. She was named SEC Goalkeeper of the Year and a First-Team All-SEC selection, tying the programme record with 13 clean sheets and finishing with a 0.57 goals-against average. She carried Vanderbilt to its first-ever NCAA Elite Eight, a year after helping the Commodores reach their first Sweet 16, where she made 14 saves against Florida State. In the SEC Tournament final that same year, she saved three penalties as Vanderbilt beat LSU to win the title, having already been named to the All-Tournament Team in 2022 and 2025.

Before any of that, Wojdelko came through the youth ranks in Michigan, attending Northville High School, and had been invited to U.S. Soccer Training Center camps as a teenager in 2014 and 2015, followed by the Youth National Team ID Program in 2019. She has not yet earned caps for the senior national team.

She turned professional with the Washington Spirit in January 2026, then went out on loan to USL Super League side DC Power FC the following month. Her professional debut came in a 2–0 win over Brooklyn FC in March 2026. The loan was cut short in April when the Spirit recalled her because of an injury within the squad, bringing her back to the NWSL club she had signed for only months earlier.
