Tomás Ariel Silva

Tomás Ariel Silva joined San Lorenzo's youth academy at the age of 11 before making his professional debut for the club in 2022, when he featured in seven Primera División matches.

He returned to San Lorenzo for 2025, but it was a loan move to Platense that January which reshaped his career. The left-back became a regular part of the side that went on to win the Torneo Apertura 2025. That contribution persuaded Platense to make the move permanent: in January 2026 the club exercised the purchase option, agreeing to take on 50% of Silva's economic rights for a fee of $400,000, split into three instalments, with the final payment due by 20 December 2026. He has since signed a contract extension with Platense until 2028.

Silva has also represented Argentina at under-20 level, playing two matches at the 2022 South American Games. He was named in a preliminary squad for the L'Alcúdia tournament but did not make the final list.

Silva has yet to register a goal in senior football, and his two assists at Atlanta remain his only direct contribution to a goal in professional competition. At Platense, where he now wears the number 3 shirt, he did not score away, but conceded.
