Tommy Chamba

Tommy Chamba came through the youth ranks at Orense Sporting Club, joining at Sub-12 level and staying with the Machala club all the way to his professional debut. He made that first appearance on 13 August 2022, coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw with Mushuc Runa in Liga Pro. In January 2023 Emelec paid around €190,000 for him, a fee reported by local outlets including El Futbolero and La Razón Diario.

At Emelec, Chamba settled into regular football, playing 17 league matches in his first season alongside four Copa Sudamericana appearances. He built on that in 2024 with 18 league games and his first senior goal, plus two Copa Ecuador outings, before making six league matches in 2025. Across his time at the club he amassed somewhere between 56 and 63 appearances in all competitions, with two goals and two assists to his name. In January 2026 he left as a free agent and signed for Macará, where he has already made 13 league appearances, one in the Copa Sudamericana, and scored in the league.

He was part of the squad for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, playing three matches and scoring against Fiji while also setting up a goal, as Ecuador reached the round of 16. He has not featured for the senior national team.
