Peden Stadium holds about 27,000 people, and it is where the Bobcats have taken the field through six conference titles. The program traces back to 1894, and for most of that span its signature achievement was a single Division II national title, won in 1960 — the same year the team also claimed a MAC championship.

Green and white have marked the sideline the whole time, a plain scheme for a program that built its reputation less on flash than on steady MAC East contention, with division titles spread across 2006, 2009, 2011, 2016 and 2022.

Among the players who came through Athens, Dave Zastudil is the one still cited for a specific number: he left Ohio holding the NFL's punt record, a mark that keeps his name attached to the program long after the players around him at the time have been forgotten.
