The Severočeské derby against HC Slovan Ústí nad Labem is sharpened further by regional meetings with HC Most and SK Kadaň.

Everyone here calls the team Medvědi, the Bears, and they play in blue, white and red at the Zimní stadion Děčín.

Josef Novák remains the club's all-time leading scorer, with 174 goals to his name, but the player supporters bring up most is Petr Tenkrát, who came through the Děčín academy and went on to play in the NHL for Anaheim, Nashville and Boston, as well as for the Czech national team.
