Keşapspor won the play-off final of the Giresun Süper Amatör Lig on 25 March 2026, beating Derelispor 4-0. The two sides had already met several times that season. A second-place finish in the regular table, with 33 points, had been enough to reach the play-offs, and the win sent the club into the Profesyonelliğe Geçiş Ligi for the first time.

The club was founded in Keşap, in Giresun province, in 1975. Metin Aydın took charge for the promotion season. Before the season, the club paid tribute to Uğur Büyükaydın, a former player who died in a work accident in 2025.

Promotion brought a first appearance in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası, and Keşapspor went into the competition as Giresun's only representative. The draw sent them to Tokat in September 2026 to face Tokat Belediye Spor of the TFF 3. Lig. The Keşap İlçe Stadı, recently renovated, holds 500 on its protocol stand.
