«Lébényiek»
Ákos Herceg spent his early teens in Lébény's youth ranks, playing for the U14 and U16 sides before the move that every small-town club watches for: a transfer up to ETO FC Győr, the biggest name in the county.
The club itself dates back to 1926, run under the Lébény Sportegyesület banner ever since, though its paperwork was refreshed with a re-registration in 2016. Nothing in the football section's history points to a county or national title; the ambitions here have stayed local, matched to a team that plays in the Győr-Moson-Sopron county first division, the fourth tier of the Hungarian pyramid.
Locally people call the team and its followers the Lébényiek — the Lébény people — a demonym rather than an invented nickname, which says something about how the club sits inside the town rather than apart from it. The Lébényi Sportpálya holds around 1,500, a figure that matches the level the team plays at rather than any grander past.
What Lébény SE has never had is an enemy. No derby has attached itself to the club, no fixture carries the weight of old grudges.
