Strzalkowo

Strzałkowo sits in Wielkopolska, the kind of place where a sports hall on ulica Górna doubles as the centre of the town's competitive life, and for handball that hall belongs to UKS Hagard. The club has spent its history working through the lower tiers of Polish men's handball, in the Third League through seasons like 2014/2015 and 2020/2021, and up in the Second League in 2019/2020 and again in 2022/2023.

The 2025/2026 campaign changed that pattern. Hagard finished as runners-up in Group IV of the Second League, a result that carried them up into the First League for 2026/2027 — the highest tier the club has reached. It is a step up for a team run under the local sports and cultural centre, GOKiS Strzałkowo, with backing from the municipality rather than a commercial structure behind it.

The junior side had already given the club something to point to years earlier, taking the Junior Stars championship in 2014, a result that predates the senior team's recent promotion by more than a decade.

Home games are played in front of a few hundred people at most — the hall holds just over 300 on its tribunes — which keeps Hagard's promotion a distinctly local story. The club has no dedicated website, running its public presence through a Facebook page, in keeping with an operation still sized to the town it represents.
