Trygg/Lade shares Trondheim's lower divisions with Strindheim, Kjelsås and FK Kvik Trondheim.

The merger produced a club, and its honours board reads accordingly: a Strindheim-turneringen title in 1966 and a Trøndelag district championship at fifth-division level in 1987. Youth football has carried the club's name further than the first team has, with district titles going back to 1931 and running through to 1970.

What TL has produced instead is players. Per Ciljan Skjelbred came through the club's youth ranks before moving on to Rosenborg, Hamburger SV and Hertha BSC. Fredrik Sjøvold followed a similar route out, via the youth side, before joining FK Bodø/Glimt.

Matches are played at the Koteng Arena, an artificial pitch that opened in 2012 and holds 1,000. In the 2025–26 Norwegian Cup, TL beat second-tier Ranheim in the first round to reach the second, a result well above its usual level.
