Wolfpack

Three years running, from 1963 to 1965, the Atlantic Coast Conference crown made its way back to Raleigh — a run the Wolfpack have not repeated since. That stretch sat alongside titles won in 1957, 1968, 1973 and 1979, seven Atlantic Coast Conference championships spread across three decades.

The silverware started long before the Atlantic Coast Conference existed. Wearing the same red and white, the side took three Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association titles, in 1907, 1910 and 1913, and added a Southern Conference championship in 1927, a full three decades before the first of those Atlantic Coast Conference crowns arrived.

The programme traces back to 1892, and Raleigh has been its home ever since, with games now played at Carter–Finley Stadium rather than whatever grounds hosted those early Southern Conference and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association sides. The ground has grown with the team around it.
