The first thing that defines Manse Lane is its location on the edge of an industrial estate. You can smell the concrete before you see the brick-built covered stand behind one goal. Only 73 of the 1,000 spectators are seated; the rest are parked on hard standing.

Knaresborough Town A.F.C. has occupied the site since their reformation in 1951, though the exact date the ground was built is not recorded. Before that, the pitch was known as The Myrings Stadium. They moved here after playing in the York League and the Northern League. The club reached the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup in the 2018–19 season, bringing the trophy to the ground for the first time. They also won the Toolstation NCEL League Cup in 2014.

The Hummel Stadium is the name the venue carries following a five-year partnership with the sportswear brand Hummel, which began in May 2025. Locals still call it Manse Lane. It is easy to confuse the name with the 'Easy Buy Stadium'; that belongs to nearby Barton Town FC. The Knaresborough Technology Park is situated close by, but it is a separate entity.

The atmosphere is shaped by the small size of the venue. The attendance record for the venue has not been found, but the ground has never been empty.
