VBO Arena sits on Kungsgatan 52 in Vimmerby.
The structure has lived through two heavy shifts in purpose. When it opened in 1981, it was simply Vimmerby Ishall, built for the local hockey club. The first major change arrived in 2019, a renovation that cost 11 million SEK to modernise the ice surface and replace the boards with safer plexiglass. The second wave of work came in 2024, costing another 5 million SEK, this time to meet the demands of HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second tier, after Vimmerby HC earned promotion.
The capacity stands at 1,750. The highest crowd ever recorded reached that full limit during a match against IK Oskarshamn in November 2025.
