1a Divisió (Andorra) 2026/27

The Primera Divisió, also known by its abbreviation 1a Divisió, stands as the highest tier of professional football in Andorra. Established in 1995 by the Andorran Football Federation, the competition replaced an unstructured amateur system that had operated since 1970. It sits above the Segona Divisió and Tercera Divisió within the national pyramid. A defining characteristic of the league is its match schedule. Unlike most European competitions, fixtures are played at centralized venues owned by the federation rather than at the home grounds of the participating clubs. This format results in each team playing every other side three times during the regular season, culminating in a final table with no split into championship or relegation groups. The competition currently features ten teams, including Atlètic Club d'Escaldes, Carroi, Esperança d'Andorra, FC Santa Coloma, Inter Club d'Escaldes, and Ordino. FC Santa Coloma holds the record for the most league titles, having won the championship thirteen times. The reigning champion is Inter Club d'Escaldes, who secured their fifth title in the 2024–25 season. Success in the league provides direct access to continental competition. The winner qualifies for the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. The runner-up and the winner of the Copa Constitució enter the UEFA Europa Conference League. Relegation follows a specific structure. The team finishing in tenth place is directly relegated to the second tier. The ninth-placed side enters a two-legged play-off against the runner-up of the Segona Divisió, unless the runner-up is ineligible for licensing reasons. The champion of the second division is promoted automatically. The league has undergone several name changes due to sponsorship arrangements over the years. It was previously known as the Lliga Grup Becier and later the Lliga Grup Sant Eloi. The number of participating clubs has fluctuated between seven and twelve before stabilizing at ten for the current campaign.

The 1a Divisió remains the pinnacle of domestic football in Andorra. Its centralized venue system distinguishes it from other leagues in Europe. FC Santa Coloma dominates the history of the tournament. Inter Club d'Escaldes leads the current standings.
