Inter Club d'Escaldes

Escaldes-Engordany's football side began life under a construction firm's name, Construccions Modernes Lara Promocions Construccions, and carried that trade sponsorship in its title for over a decade before shedding it. The Inter tag arrived in 1991, when the club became Construccions Modernes Inter d'Escaldes, and the name settled into its current, simpler form, Inter Club d'Escaldes, in 1999.

Andorran clubs rarely own their own grounds, and Inter is no exception: home fixtures were played for years at the Federation's training centre in Santa Coloma, a 2,000-seat facility that served the whole domestic pyramid rather than one team. That changed in 2025, when the Federation opened the Estadi de la FAF in Encamp, holding just over 5,000, and Inter's matches moved there.

The blue and black of Inter, the "blau-i-negres," have become the colours to beat domestically. The club has taken the 1a Divisió title five times, in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2025 and 2026, and added three Copa Constitució wins, in 2020, 2023 and 2025 — a run of domestic dominance sharpened by an earlier final defeat in that same cup back in 2002, before the trophies started arriving.

With the new stadium now home and the 2025-26 league title already added to the collection, Inter head into the season defending a position at the top of Andorran football that has become familiar rather than new.
