About the player
Sol Sidibé was born in Paris but has built his career in England and, more recently, the Netherlands. He joined Stoke City's academy in 2015 and worked his way up through the age groups before signing his first professional contract with the first team in July 2023.
Over two seasons at Stoke, Sidibé made 21 appearances across all competitions — 12 in the Championship, seven in the League Cup and two in the FA Cup — without scoring. He left the club in the summer of 2025.
On 1 August 2025, Sidibé moved to PSV Eindhoven for a fee reported at between €2m and €2.5m. He was assigned straight to Jong PSV, the club's development side in the Eerste Divisie, rather than the first-team squad. He has yet to make a senior appearance for PSV.
He made an immediate impact on the second tier of Dutch football, playing 38 matches for Jong PSV in the 2025/26 season and scoring once.
Despite his French birthplace and his move into Dutch football, Sidibé has represented England throughout the youth ranks. He earned two caps for the under-17s in 2023, then 11 for the under-18s across 2024 and 2025. Since 2025 he has featured 11 times for the under-19s, scoring once. The Netherlands have not called on him at any youth level.
