1st League - RS (Bosnia and Herzegovina) 2026/27

The First League of the Republika Srpska operates as the second tier of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It sits below the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The competition is organized by the Football Association of Republika Srpska (FSRS). The league was established in 1995. It functioned as the top-tier entity league until 2002, when the national Premier League was created, moving this competition to the second level.

The structure for the 2025–26 season features 14 teams. They play a double round-robin regular season before splitting into two single round-robin groups. The top seven teams enter a ‘Play Off’ to compete for the championship and promotion. The bottom seven teams play in a ‘Play Out’ to avoid relegation. The champion receives direct promotion to the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Relegation sends teams down to the Second League of the Republika Srpska.

The league differs from the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the other second-tier league. This distinction reflects the country's complex federal structure. Historically, Borac Banja Luka holds the record for success with five titles. Krupa and Radnik Bijeljina each have won four titles. Current participants in the 2025–26 season include Leotar, Sloboda Novi Grad, and Omarska.
