Super Cup (Albania) 2025/26

The Albanian Supercup (Albanian: Superkupa e Shqipërisë) is a standalone football match that serves as the national super cup of Albania. Organised by the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), the fixture sits above the regular league and cup structures. It is contested annually between the winners of the Kategoria Superiore and the winners of the Albanian Cup. The match is typically held as a curtain-raiser for the new season or at the end of the current campaign at the Arena Kombëtare in Tirana.

The format includes a specific rule introduced in 2000 regarding the Double. If the same team wins both the league and the domestic cup, the Supercup is played between the league champion and the runner-up of the Albanian Cup. This ensures an annual contest, a practice that was not always followed in the early years of the competition. Before 2000, the match was not played if a team secured the Double, meaning no trophy was awarded in those instances. The match consists of 90 minutes of regular play, with extra time and penalties available if necessary to decide the outcome.

KF Tirana holds the record for the most titles, having won the competition twelve times. Their victories came in 1994, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2017 and 2022. Other notable winners include Skënderbeu with four titles, Partizani with three, and Vllaznia with two. Recent history sees Egnatia taking the honour in 2024 and Dinamo City in 2025. The competition has maintained consistent scheduling since the turn of the century, marking its place as a distinct event separate from the league and knockout tournament.
