Super Cup (Iran) 2025/26

The Iranian Super Cup is a domestic football super cup competition in Iran, organized by the Iran Football League Organization (IFLO). First held in 2005, the tournament was not held consistently between 2006 and 2015, with a planned 2008 edition cancelled. It was revived in 2016 under the presidency of Mehdi Taj. The competition is a single-match fixture contested between the winners of the Persian Gulf Pro League (the top-flight league) and the Hazfi Cup (the primary domestic cup).

If a team wins both the league and the cup in the same season (achieving the "Double"), they are automatically awarded the Super Cup title without playing a match; this occurred for Persepolis in 2019 and 2023. In such cases, the Hazfi Cup runner-up does not participate. The tournament sits as a standalone honor in the Iranian football pyramid, distinct from the league and the Hazfi Cup. Persepolis is the most successful club with five titles (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023). Other winners include Saba Battery (2005), Zob Ahan (2016), Foolad (2021), Esteghlal (2022), Sepahan (2024), and Tractor (2025). The 2025 edition was won by Tractor, who defeated Esteghlal 2–1 on August 11, 2025, at Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium in Isfahan. The competition has no widely recognized permanent commercial sponsor name, unlike the league which is the Persian Gulf Pro League. The key distinction from the Hazfi Cup is that the Super Cup is a single match between the two major domestic champions, whereas the Hazfi Cup is a season-long knockout tournament open to teams from all tiers of Iranian football. The Persian Gulf Pro League is a round-robin league format. The Super Cup serves as a curtain-raiser or standalone event celebrating the previous season's domestic dominance.
