The match at Patriot's Point Stadium was decided by a single moment in the second half, and by then the home side had already established the pattern they would follow for ninety minutes.
N. Ross picked up a yellow card in the forty-first minute before the break, and Monterey made three changes at the interval with F. Barajas, Jacob Montes and C. Swan all coming on. The visitors pushed for an equaliser after the restart but the Battery defence, which made thirty-three clearances, weathered the storm. F.
