Ezra — Yangon United: 2:1, AFC Challenge League

Ezra secured a 2-1 victory over Yangon United in their AFC Challenge League Preliminary Round clash on September 8, 2026. The match unfolded with both sides trading blows before the hosts emerged victorious.

M. Djidjiwa gave Ezra the lead in the 62nd minute, but T. Paing equalised for Yangon United just nine minutes later. And here's the thing — the momentum shifted in those final ten minutes when everything changed.

The 81st minute proved decisive. Ezra struck to retake the lead, while P. Sangvilay converted a penalty for Yangon United in the same period. To be fair, the visitors pushed hard for an equaliser, but Ezra held firm when it mattered.

This result ends a difficult run for the hosts, who had suffered losses including a 6-1 defeat to Yang Elephant in March. Yangon United continue their recent form, with four victories in their last five matches prior to this fixture.

What defines a match isn't always the scoreboard. Sometimes it's those three or four moments that separate victory from defeat — and this one belonged to Ezra.
