Garforth Town and Bridlington Town played out a 2:2 draw in the FA Trophy 1st Round Qualifying on Thursday evening. The result leaves both sides with one point from their opening fixture of the campaign.
There were no goalscorers or goals recorded for either side in the match data. The final scoreline came after ninety minutes of play at Garforth's home ground.
Garforth registered 92 attacks compared to Bridlington's 81, while possession sat at 55 per cent for the hosts. The visitors managed only two corners to Garforth's five, and picked up two yellow cards against one for the home side.
Garforth have struggled in recent outings, losing 4:0 to Worksop Town and 1:0 to Gisley in their last two matches before this. They also drew 1:1 with Rancorne Linnetts and won 3:0 against Ashington in earlier results.
Bridlington came into the match with mixed form, having drawn 2:2 with Whitby Town in their most recent game. That followed a 2:4 defeat to Gisley, while they had beaten North Ferriby 2:0 and Moseley 1:0 in previous outings.
The draw means neither team has moved clear in the early stages of the competition. Both sides will now look to build on this result in their next fixtures.
