Gorno Lisiche and Belasica played out a goalless draw in the Second Division on Saturday. The match, part of Regular Season round six, ended 0:0 at the home ground of the hosts. No goals came despite both sides having opportunities to take the lead.
By then, both teams had played six matches already. Belasica sat fourth with ten points from two wins and four draws. They remained unbeaten through their opening campaign. Gorno Lisiche, meanwhile, had accumulated just four points and occupied twelfth place.
The home side's recent run offered little cause for optimism. They lost three of their last five matches, including defeats to Ohrid, Worknetchi and Macedonia GP. Their only bright spot was a 4:0 victory over Skupi 1927, but that came against a side that struggled to find consistency themselves.
Belasica showed more resilience in their recent fixtures. They drew with Teteks and Kozuv Gevgeliya, then beat Osogovo 3:1 before holding Detonit Plachkovitsa. Their form had been steady rather than spectacular, which perhaps explains why they stayed near the top without pulling away.
The draw kept Belasica in touch with the leaders while Gorno Lisiche fell further behind. With only one win all season, the hosts now face a difficult task to climb out of the lower half. Belasica, still unbeaten, are closing in on a deal for promotion contention.
