Incheon United and Daechon Hana Citizen played out a 1-1 draw at Incheon Football Stadium on Sunday in K-League 1's Regular Season round 30. The result leaves the hosts seventh with 27 points and the visitors ninth with 20 after 19 matches each.
Morgan Ferrier opened the scoring in the 35th minute, finding the net after Incheon had won a dangerous free-kick. To be fair, the home side pressed with purpose from the outset, but Daechon's defence held firm until the break. Anton Krivotsyuk picked up a yellow card in the 32nd minute, and Kang Yun-sung followed suit three minutes later before the equaliser came.
By then the match had settled into a rhythm neither side could break. Ferrier was substituted in the 67th minute, and Daechon made two changes at the hour mark. The turning point arrived in the 90th minute when Kang Yun-sung nodded home from close range, a moment that paid for a sloppy opening. Incheon had camped in the final third all match, but the visitors found no answer until the dying moments.
The statistics tell a story of two sides that created little. Incheon registered 116 attacks with 52 per cent possession, while Daechon managed 110 attacks and 48 per cent. Neither team created a big chance. Incheon had five shots on target with 42 per cent accuracy, whereas Daechon hit the woodwork less often, landing three shots on target from nine attempts at 25 per cent accuracy.
The draw extends Incheon's unbeaten run to four matches, though they have never got out of second gear in recent weeks. Daechon's form has been inconsistent, with five games showing both highs and lows. The gap between them remains seven points, and neither side will feel particularly pleased with Sunday's effort.
