Kamaz lost 2:3 to Sochi in the eighth round of the First League at their home stadium on 24 August 2026. The result leaves the hosts in 17th place with five points, while the visitors climb to third with 19.
Oleg Kozhemyakin opened the scoring for the away side after four minutes, and Viktor Semenov doubled the lead before the quarter-hour. Roman Tkachuk pulled one back for Kamaz in the 33rd minute, but Sochi struck again through Mikhail Ignatov in the 78th minute. Zhan Fedorov sealed the win late on at 90+1.
Sochi dominated possession at 63 per cent and registered six shots on target, while Kamaz managed nine of their own despite holding the ball for only 37 per cent. The hosts also won more corners and throw-ins, but could not convert their pressure into goals.
Both sides made several changes in the second half. Kamaz brought on Evgeny Voronin in the 61st minute and later added Aleksandr Popov and Mukhammad Sultonov. Sochi substituted Nemanja Stojic and Viktor Semenov together at the hour mark, then brought on Pavel Meleshin and Ilya Kalinin.
Kamaz have now drawn one and lost two of their last three league games, including a 0:1 defeat to Tekstilschik on 19 August. Sochi have won three of their past four matches, ending a 1:2 loss to Leningradets with back-to-back victories over Torpedo Moscow and Neftekhimik.
The defeat keeps Kamaz in the lower half of the table with a goal difference of negative four. Sochi move within seven points of the top spot and keep their promotion hopes firmly on track.
