Mlada-Boleslav saw off Příbram 3-1 in a Club Friendlies fixture on Thursday evening, the result extending their unbeaten run to eight matches. The hosts controlled the tempo from the start, and here's the thing — they didn't need to chase the game once they were ahead.
The opening goal came at the 19th minute, a quick response after Příbram's recent form had suggested they could cause problems. Two minutes later, Mlada-Boleslav doubled their advantage, and by then the visitors were already on the back foot. Příbram had won only one of their last five friendlies, and the pattern continued.
What stood out was the second half. Mlada-Boleslav added a third at the 44th minute, not to end the contest but to show they could control it at will. Příbram pulled one back at the 90th minute, but that was a late consolation rather than a sign of recovery.
The hosts have hit a wall when it comes to finding consistency, but this result suggested they are closing in on a deal for something more stable. Příbram, meanwhile, have hit a wall of their own — three defeats in five friendlies leaves them searching for answers.
What the scoreline tells you is that Mlada-Boleslav are running out of games to prove themselves before the competitive season starts. Příbram let the tie slip early and never really got back into it. One mistake ends it, and they made several.
