Sileks and Tikvesh played out a goalless draw in the First League on Friday. The match finished 0:0 in Skopje after a contest that lacked the cutting edge expected at this stage of the season. Both sides approached cautiously, and by then it was clear neither would take risks.
The first half showed more tension than creativity. Lucianinho went off after seventeen minutes with a yellow card, followed soon after by D. Angjeleski at nineteen. K. Ackovski joined them before the break, while Renatinho picked up a booking early in the second period. To be fair, the game was never going to flow with that many cautions.
Tactical shifts began at the interval when Sileks brought on A. Mishov for Angjeleski. The hosts then made three changes in quick succession: M. Talakov replaced by A. Timovski at sixty-one, T. Nikolovski swapped for Lucianinho at seventy-four, and K. Eftimov introduced at seventy-five. Tikvesh responded with N. Sylla at ninety-two.
And here's the thing about a 0:0 — the numbers tell a different story. Sileks registered fifteen-one attacks against one-one-seven for the visitors, with five shots on target compared to three. Both sides held fifty per cent possession, but the hosts had five corners to one. Shots accuracy sat at sixty-three for Sileks and fifty for Tikvesh.
The result keeps Sileks in sixth place with eight points from seven games, three defeats already in the bag. Tikvesh remain fourth on twelve points with only one loss. Neither team moved closer to the top, and neither dropped ground to those above them.
