Malmö saw off Uppsala 6-0 in the Damallsvenskan's fourteenth round on Saturday. The visitors took all three points without question, extending their winning streak while the hosts endured another heavy setback.
H. Eiriksdottir opened the scoring after three minutes, and A. Weldai's own goal at twenty-five minutes doubled the advantage before the break. A. Lindstrom added a third at thirty-two, and Eiriksdottir struck again at thirty-eight. M. Persson converted a penalty at forty-one to make it five before the interval.
The second half brought no reprieve for Uppsala. Lindstrom completed her brace at seventy-six minutes, and Malmö's management made seven substitutions across the closing stages, bringing on Robertson, Persson, Eiriksdottir, Lofqvist, Khatawi, Strand, Hockert, Milivojevic, Fredgren and Leffler as the game wound down.
By then the statistics told the full story. Malmö held 72 per cent possession and fired fourteen shots on target, hitting 52 per cent accuracy. Uppsala managed just one shot on target with zero accuracy, and had 28 per cent of the ball. The hosts had 64 attacks compared to Malmö's 76, and their corner count was four to six.
Uppsala remain in fourteenth place with six points from seventeen games, having won only once this season. The loss extends their poor run — they have not won since June and have now lost six matches in a row. Malmö sit third with thirty points, though their recent away form has been less dominant, including a 2-0 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
