Arsenal vs Chelsea: Alonso and Arteta's Team News

Unbeaten Arsenal host unbeaten Chelsea in a huge Premier League derby, with Caicedo a doubt and James pushed into midfield for the Blues.

Chelsea travel to the Emirates on Sunday for their third league game of the season, with both sides still unbeaten after two rounds of the Premier League campaign.

Arsenal arrive on the back of a 1-0 win away at Aston Villa, while Chelsea ground out a 4-3 win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Kick-off is at 4:30pm BST.

Moises Caicedo is a doubt for Chelsea. Enzo Maresca addressed the midfielder's fitness on Sunday.

"Hopefully, it's not new, and it wasn't more than last time. He was cautious to stop, to say that his feeling was not the best. We need to assess during the week that it wasn't something else," Maresca said.

Maresca is expected to give a fuller update at his pre-match press conference, due on Friday. Marc Cucurella, the 26-year-old summer signing, is still waiting for the "green light" from his manager after a wrist injury picked up at the World Cup, and has yet to play for his new club. Noni Madueke, another arrival this summer, is also sidelined.

Reece James is set to feature further up the pitch than usual, with Chelsea planning to use him in midfield more regularly this season. His importance there has grown since the departure of Moises Caicedo and the move for Lamine Camara collapsed. Valentin Barco offers an alternative in that role but is expected to make way for Romeo Lavia, who scored the opener against Brighton last time out.

David Raya keeps his place in goal behind a back three of Wesley Fofana, Maxence Lacroix and Levi Colwill, with Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro again the front three. The predicted Chelsea XI (3-4-2-1): Raya; Fofana, Lacroix, Colwill; Neto, Lavia, James, Chavarria; Rogers, Palmer; Joao Pedro.

Arsenal have selection questions of their own. David Raya, who kept a clean sheet at Villa Park, continues in goal, with Ezri Konsa in line to partner Gabriel at centre-back and Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori at full-back. Piero Hincapie provides cover from the bench.

Declan Rice is described as a "slight concern" but is expected to keep his place alongside Thomas Partey at the base of Mikel Arteta's midfield, with Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka operating just ahead of them in a 4-2-3-1.

A Caicedo absence would leave Chelsea's midfield short of its usual control against an Arsenal side already utilising Declan Rice deeper.
