Liam Rosenior celebrated his goal-line escape at Stade Jean-Bouin by turning on the away end, and the reaction from Strasbourg's players nearly sparked a brawl.
Paris FC beat Strasbourg 2-1 on Saturday, with Ilan Kebbal and Pablo Pagis scoring before Mamadou Moustapha Mbow's late own goal set up a nervy finish. Rosenior's side held on, and the manager marked the win by beating his chest and raising a fist towards the travelling support, the same fans who once sang his name at Strasbourg.
The celebration did not go down well. Lucas Hogsberg confronted his former manager directly, and a scuffle followed between players from both sides before stadium security stepped in.
Rosenior had been at Strasbourg before Chelsea appointed him as Enzo Maresca's long-term successor. That spell lasted 106 days. He has since taken over at Paris FC, third in Ligue 1 and unbeaten in their first five matches.

Rosenior said he had taken abuse from Strasbourg supporters throughout the match and wanted the celebration to send a message, while stressing it was aimed at only a section of the away following rather than the club as a whole.
The two clubs meet again at La Meinau, and after Saturday's scenes that reunion carries an edge it would not otherwise have had.
