Two Liverpool players are on the list: forward Alexander Isak and defender Jérémy Jacquet. Brighton also have two, midfielder Pascal Gross and striker Charalampos Kostoulas. The rest are Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo, Hull winger Mohamed Belloumi, Leeds full-back Jayden Bogle and Brentford forward Kevin Schade.
Isak, 27, has scored four league goals so far this season. Gross has three. Both Brighton nominees played in the 3-0 win over Arsenal on 19 September at the Amex: Kostoulas and Gross scored, and Gross also provided an assist. That result ended Arsenal's unbeaten start. Brentford's Schade, for his part, is nominated in the month his side beat Chelsea 3-0.
Jacquet made the shortlist after Liverpool's 1-0 win at Bournemouth, where his side kept a clean sheet and he was voted the club's Player of the Match.
After five rounds Manchester City lead the table, Arsenal are second and Brighton third.
If the vote follows the club form of the month, Brighton's two nominees may split their support, which could help Isak or Semenyo.
