Endrick and Souttar clash in Brazil-Australia friendly
Tempers flared as Brazil beat Australia 4-2, with Endrick and Harry Souttar booked after a scuffle before Endrick set up Bruno Guimaraes' goal.
Brazil beat Australia 4-2 in a friendly on Tuesday, but the second half was defined by a flare-up between Endrick and Harry Souttar.
The two went into a challenge near the touchline midway through the half. Souttar, the Australia captain, pinned Endrick to the turf with his hands before getting up and walking off. Endrick, giving away 26 centimetres in height to the 198cm Leicester defender, chased him down and shoved him in the back.
Players from both sides piled in. Tete Yengi, Australia's 197cm forward, slapped Endrick, who went down clutching his face. Referee Yusuke Araki, from Japan, booked both Souttar and Endrick.
Four minutes later, on 69 minutes, Endrick was on the scoresheet for the right reasons. His pass set up Bruno Guimaraes, who put Brazil ahead.
