Dan Friedkin let a rare smile show through at the European Club Association's general assembly in Copenhagen on Monday, where he spoke openly about Roma's current standing.
"Between the stadium and first place, it is truly a great moment for us, we couldn't be happier."
The remark, reported by Corriere dello Sport, was made by Friedkin, who rarely speaks publicly. Friedkin arrived at the Bella Center around 9am in a suit and blue tie, headphones in as he sent voice messages before the session began.
Roma sit top of Serie A this season, with Paulo Dybala's side having held their own against champions Inter. Off the pitch, the club has received the green light for its new stadium project in Pietralata, with groundbreaking expected between March and April and a possible move-in for the 2029-30 season.

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, whose side beat Inter to the Champions League last season, told Friedkin he would see him in the competition — PSG host Roma at the Parc des Princes on 25 November.
