About the player
Ármann Ingi Finnbogason joined Víkingur Reykjavík as a free agent in February 2026 and signed a contract running to the end of 2029.
His path to Víkingur began at ÍA Akranes, where he first appeared on loan at the club's feeder side, Kári Akranes, in the third tier, scoring twice in two matches. He returned to ÍA in 2022 and spent that season in the second tier before working his way into the top flight, making eight appearances in the Besta deild karla by the summer of 2024. That August he moved on loan to Grindavík, back down in the second tier, and added another goal in five games there. The loan lasted until the end of January 2026, when he returned to ÍA Akranes — only to leave again within days, this time for Víkingur.
At his new club he has been handed the number 69. No senior or youth caps for Iceland have been recorded for him so far, and his market value remains modest.
