André Ibsen Rømer

Rømer has now signed for Randers FC twice, both times on a free transfer. The first spell, from July 2018 to January 2021, remains his most productive as a scorer: 11 goals in 75 league appearances from defensive midfield. He came back in August 2024, again for nothing, on a deal running to 2026, and has added one goal in 49 league games since.

The path there ran through FC Midtjylland, which he joined at 15 in 2008 after coming up at Køge Boldklub. He signed his first professional contract there in March 2012, a five-year deal, and stayed until 2018 — 119 league appearances, six goals, and the Danish Superliga title in 2014–15. A free transfer to Odense Boldklub in January 2018 brought only 11 league games before he moved on to Randers that summer.

In January 2021 he crossed to Sweden with IF Elfsborg, where he played 68 league matches over two seasons and scored three times. Midtjylland took him back in July 2023, and the second stint delivered a second Superliga title in 2023–24 from 27 league appearances.

At youth level he was capped by Denmark three times at under-16 in 2009, twice at under-18 in 2010 and four times at under-20 in 2012. The senior call has not come.
