Anderson Arroyo

Six years on Liverpool's books, and not one first-team appearance. Anderson Arroyo has pointed to work permit issues as the main obstacle, and the club's answer was to send him elsewhere: Mallorca B, Gent, Mladá Boleslav, Salamanca, Mirandés and Alavés all took him on loan between 2017 and 2023. With Alavés he reached the Segunda División promotion play-offs in 2022–23.

The move to Liverpool came in February 2018, for an undisclosed fee, off the back of a start at Fortaleza CEIF in Colombia. He made his senior debut there in 2015, at fifteen, and was part of the side that won promotion to the Categoría Primera A.

The Liverpool contract ran to July 2024. On 6 July that year he joined Burgos CF as a free agent. Burgos held him a little over a season before selling him to Rubin Kazan on 10 September 2025 for a reported €1 million, on a four-year deal.

In Kazan he has settled into regular football at last: 27 appearances and two goals by August 2026, one of them against Akron in the Russian Premier League — a defender's return, but a return.

Colombia have used him through the age groups without yet calling him up to the senior side. Eight caps at under-17 level in 2015, eight at under-20 in 2017, two at under-23 in 2020. He played at the 2017 Copa América U20 and at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
