Artur Nigmatullin

He came through the youth set-up at Luch-Energiya Vladivostok and signed his first professional contract with CSKA Moscow in 2009. He never made a league appearance for the senior side. In 2010 he served a ten-month suspension for a doping violation, and spent part of that year with the amateur club Prialit Reutov.

Volga became the first permanent move, in July 2013, and he was with the club in the Russian Premier League until their relegation in 2015. At Tosno, from January 2016, he was the starting goalkeeper as the club won promotion to the Premier League. He joined Amkar Perm as a free agent in July 2017 and was named Best Footballer of Perm Krai for the 2017/18 season.

At Arsenal Tula, where he arrived in July 2018, he closed in on the club record for consecutive clean sheets that year. In June 2024 he signed for Rubin Kazan on a free transfer. The two-year deal was extended in July 2026, running to the summer of 2027.

The call to the Russia national team came late. He was included for the first time in November 2023 and was handed a debut on 20 November, in a friendly against Cuba that Russia won 3–0.
