About the player
His breakthrough came quickly. Abdusalam became the youngest player in league history to record a goal and an assist in the same Chinese Super League match, achieving the feat at 18 years and 108 days old. His first goal in the competition came against Henan FC. Across his opening season he made a dozen league appearances, scoring three goals and setting up two more, with a further assist added in the FA Cup.
Before his move, Abdusalam had already built a reputation through China's youth pathways. He represented the country at Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 level, and was nominated for the China Golden Boy Award at Under-17 level in 2024. Playing for Guangdong's Under-18 side, he scored a penalty in the bronze medal match at the 2025 National Games, helping the team to third place. He has since earned two caps for the senior China national team, though he is yet to score at that level.
Born in Tacheng, in China's Xinjiang region, Abdusalam is described by some databases as a natural left winger, despite being right-footed by nature, and operates in midfield areas for Yunnan Yukun.
