Liu Dianzuo

Liu Dianzuo is the current first-choice goalkeeper for the Chinese national team, having earned his six caps since making his debut in December 2019. That recognition came after a long climb through the domestic game: he started out at Dalian Yiteng, making 57 appearances before a move to Shanghai Shenxin, where he settled in for 113 matches. A switch to Guangzhou R&F followed, though his time there was brief before he joined Guangzhou FC, the club where his career took off.

At Guangzhou FC, Liu built the most decorated spell of his career, winning three Chinese Super League titles, in 2016, 2017 and 2019, along with the Chinese FA Cup in 2016 and three FA Super Cups. Financial difficulties at the club eventually pushed him to move on, and in April 2022 he joined Wuhan Three Towns on a free transfer. He went on to make 84 appearances there, adding a Super League title in 2022 and another FA Super Cup in 2023 to his collection. Internationally, he was part of the China squad that took bronze at the 2019 EAFF E-1 Football Championship.

In February 2025, Liu moved on again, joining Chengdu Rongcheng on a free transfer, and has since made 52 appearances for his new club. Across his career he has made 394 appearances in total.
