Christian Alejandro Tabó Hornos

Christian Tabó spent most of his career in Mexico before returning to Uruguayan football in his thirties, and the last stretch of that journey has produced a notable scoring return. In the 2026 Apertura, he played every minute across 23 matches for Deportivo Maldonado, scoring eight goals and adding an assist from midfield.

Tabó came through at Racing Club de Montevideo, where he stayed from 2011 to 2015 before a loan spell at Nacional, with whom he won the Uruguayan championship in the 2014–15 season. That title helped take him abroad: Atlas signed him in 2015, and he turned down a call-up to Uruguay's squad for the 2015 Pan American Games to stay with the Mexican club, saying at the time that he still hoped to force his way into the senior national team. That step never came, but his career in Mexico did not stop building. He returned to Nacional on a further loan in 2016 before Puebla signed him in 2018.

The move to Cruz Azul in January 2022 brought significant success. He won the Supercopa MX, the Copa por México and the Campeón de Campeones with the club in the 2021–22 season, and later spent time on loan at UNAM Pumas.

Tabó returned home in September 2024, joining Liverpool Montevideo, before a February 2025 move to Rampla Juniors, where he scored seven goals in 22 matches. He signed for Deportivo Maldonado in January 2026.
